FINAL EXPENSE INSURANCE

Final expense insurance plans cover the expenses that your loved ones will incur after your demise. These costs typically include medical bills and funeral expenses. A final expense policy is also known as burial or funeral insurance. In a funeral policy, the value of policy is proportionate to the expense of the funeral.

Long Term Care Insurance

Long Term Care (LTC) plans help you prepare for the eventuality of paying for your LTC needs. These plans are designed to cover your medical expenses by paying for in-home care. LTC plans typically help you avoid spending long time in nursing homes. This insurance pays for a provider to come into your home, but it also will pay for the nursing home if you desire.

Dental/Vision
/Hearing

Dental, vision, and hearing insurance are important additions to your Original Medicare, since neither Medicare nor Medigap insurance cover typical dental, vision and hearing exams and expenses. A number of seniors usually avoid or delay their preventive checkups and normal health care for teeth, eyes, and ears, due to the added uncovered expenses.

Short Term Recovery Care

Similar to long-term care insurance, short-term policies cover expenses related to home care, assisted living and nursing homes when you can't take care of yourself. However, short-term care insurance, also known as recovery care is of a fixed duration. Short-term care typically provides benefits for 12 months or less.

Hospital Indemnity

Hospital Indemnity Insurance Plan (HIP), also called Hospitalization Insurance or Hospital Insurance pays you a fixed set amount when you are confined to a hospital and incur covered medical expenses resulting from hospitalization, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation services. That amount may be per day, per week, per month, per visit or per event, depending on the plan and the benefits that apply.
